So we've been home from our vacation for little over a month and I thought I would share some photos. Obviously, these are phone photos. I was a little worried about bringing my camera on the plane, but I realize now, that it's a necessity next time! Oh the shots I could've gotten with my trusty Canon! haha! Looking at these photos makes me wish I were there right now. San Diego was gorgeous and the weather was absolutely amazing. My phone STILL shows me the weather there on my home screen, like it's taunting me!! We cannot wait to go back!
We stayed at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort and it was fantastic! We were nervous taking the kids on vacation but they are so family friendly it's ridiculous! One night, my son wanted a night light at 10 pm, we called the front desk to inquire on one, and someone showed up 5 minutes later with a night light! Absolute best place we could've stayed on our family vacation!
I do offer GIFT CERTIFICATES!! I just redesigned and handmade my new gift certificates and I love them! I'm excited to hand some of these out. Contact me if you're interested! They make for such amazing gifts for anyone.
Last weekend, I offered Mommy and Me Mini Sessions, just in time for Mother's Day and I was so happy with the images I was able to capture for some lovely ladies! It's rare that us mommies get a chance to be in a photo with our children. We're mainly the ones taking the photos. I was happy to give these mommies a chance to step in front of the camera with their little ones. Happy [early] Mother's Day!!
A while ago I had the pleasure of photographing an old friend's wedding at the beautiful Morning Glory Inn. It was a gorgeous November night and Lori looked simply stunning. Lori and I met on our first day at Chatham College. Her husband is a member of the National Guard, as is mine, so when they got engaged, I was excited to be a part of their engagement photos. I wasn't expecting to photograph the wedding as well, since I had never done one, but I'm so glad I did. Congratulations to Lori and Chris! Love you both and I wish you both all the best!
Sometimes, it's nice to do things out of the normal. I usually get a lot of families and children, so when the opportunity came up to photograph an old friend of mine, I jumped on it! We had a good time just walking around an industrial looking part of Pittsburgh ( a place I hope to use again in the future because it was awesome! ).
Yesterday was Prom night for much of Pittsburgh. It's the last dance of your high school career. Looking back at my own prom, I wish I would have done big and poofy! My dress looked like a simple wedding dress. But I guess I could have used it for when I married my husband just 2 years later. But back to the session. These kids were so excited about their prom!. Next up for them. . . graduation!! Oh, to be young again :)
On Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing a group of best friends. Even being states apart, they've managed to be as close as ever. Just spending an hour with them I could see their love for each other. Thankfully, they were up for anything, even if it meant heading to a thrift store to buy some old prom dresses for fun! Here are just a few of the shots from the shoot.
This past Monday, I was invited by a TWO TIME Graduate of the Pittsburgh Art Institute to take her portraits. Not only does she have a degree in the culinary arts, she now has a degree in baking and pastries. And here I am, cooking spaghetti and meatballs twice a week (mostly at the request of my son)! Congratulations Meagan!
This past weekend, I photographed a famous person! Well, not famous yet, but one day he could be! He's on his way to California to pursue his dream of acting and modeling. He couldn't have chosen a more perfect location than the Carnegie Mellon Institute, which is also the same place the infamous fight happened in the last Batman Movie. Perfect for a session for someone pursuing acting. Good luck Gary!
